Music Genre Poster

This project involved the development of a visually compelling poster inspired by the aesthetics of 1980s synth-driven music. The objective was to translate the distinct visual language of the genre—characterized by vibrant neon palettes, retro-futuristic elements, and bold graphic treatments—into a cohesive and engaging design.

A key challenge was capturing the essence of the era without relying on cliché or visual overload, while still maintaining clarity and hierarchy. To address this, I strategically balanced color, typography, and composition, using high-contrast tones and layered graphic elements to evoke the energy of the genre while preserving readability and structure.

The final design integrates stylistic references such as glowing gradients, dynamic shapes, and period-inspired type choices to create a strong sense of atmosphere and authenticity. This approach results in a poster that not only reflects the spirit of 80s synth music but also demonstrates thoughtful problem-solving through intentional visual decisions and effective communication.
